Eenie Creek Road – Noosa. Stage 3 bridge over Burgess Creek
Bridge Type: Construction of a 25 Span reinforced concrete bridge with pre-cast deck units, pre-cast piles and head stocks and concrete deck of Burgess Creek, including associated drainage and 450mm Diameter DICL effluent re-use pipeline. The structure crosses a highly fragile swamp environment which necessitated construction to be undertaken without allowing plant or equipment into the environmentally sensitive zone. Piles had to be driven from the existing structure one span at a time using specially designed piling equipment in association with an 80T crawler crane. After piles were installed using both jetting and driving methods, headstocks were constructed accessing from the existing structure via an Arial walkway PSC deck units were placed and caste insitue concrete deck poured all from the existing structure, necessitating a span by span construction sequence.

Rickertt Road Bikeway Bridge Superstructure
